The 2016 honorees were recognized for their "enduring commitment to foster quality medical services to this community, as well as demonstrating unquestionable character and human compassion."
Grady Williams was honored along side of Drs. Larry Sargent and John McCravey. Grady has served as a CPA in the Chattanooga area for over 50 years and has received multiple honors for his leadership. He was named as Fundraiser of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 1999, and as Chattanooga Manager of the Year in 2010. Tennessee Tech University's School of Business honored Mr. Williams with the 2014 Outstanding Alumnus Award, and he was also honored by the American Heart Association in 2014. He has served on numerous boards including the United Way, University of Chattanooga Foundation, American Diabetes Association, and the American Red Cross.
In his career, Grady has worked with a variety of clients and has extensive ties to the Chattanooga community through his philanthropic acts, particularly with United Way, University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and Chattanooga State. He is also involved in Siskin Children's Institute, including co-chairing the 2012 Golden Jubilee with his wife, Phyllis. In addition to his vast philanthropic work, Grady was also instrumental in the launching of Capital Mark Bank in 2007.
Grady is led by a passion to help others. He has established scholarships for deserving students and has been instrumental in helping new business startups.
