Managed Security Services
LBMC Managed Security Services developed their own security appliance. It is a standard 1U rack mountable system which is loaded with our customized software. This appliance is deployed within the networks of LBMC Managed Security Service's clients. This device can operate in a variety of modes, depending on the services it is configured to provide for the client. These services are:
- Managed Intrusion Prevention
- Managed Intrusion Detection
- Managed Firewall
- Managed Vulnerability Scan
All LBMC appliances communicate information in encrypted form to LBMC's central servers. The data gathered is formated and presented to LBMC Intrusion Detection Analysts which monitor the devices using LBMC internal, web based IDS console. Should intrusions, or intrusion attempts, be detected, the analyst is notified in real-time of the event. The analyst will then use his knowledge and experience to evaluate the event and act on it accordingly. In the case of an attempt or successful intrusion, LBMC will attempt corrective actions (such as blocking the attacker), and will immediately notify the client based on an on-call schedule. Even in the case of an unsuccessful penetration attempt, the client may be notified. All incidents are logged and entered into a ticketing system to keep track of the event. Clients may review these tickets through the Client Portal as well. The Client Portal also allows the clients to generate reports on the attackers, targets and frequency of attacks. Above services apply to LBMC's Managed Security Services. LBMC also provides security consulting services such as penetration tests, vulnerability assessment, policy development and review, design and implementation services, and others.
