The Pain of PCI
Lessons Learned and How to Ease the Pain
Does your client or any of their business units:
Accept credit cards as a form of payment? Build software for the processing of credit cards?
Allow customers to swipe credit cards?
Accept payments online?
Process payments on behalf of others or involved in the processing of credit cards?
If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, then the PCI DSS applies to you!
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of comprehensive requirements for enhancing payment account data security. It was developed by the founding payment brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, including American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc. Inc. International, to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures on a global basis. This comprehensive standard is intended to help organizations proactively protect customer account data.
The LBMC PCI team has worked on a wide variety of PCI engagements since its inception. These engagements range from development of a Roadmap for PCI DSS compliance to full PCI DSS Report on Compliance Audits.
In this Webinar we will address:
- What is PCI, who has to comply and when?
- Lessons learned and how to ease the pain.
- High risk areas for security breaches and how to mitigate these risks.
