NASHVILLE, TN (December 18, 2014)- LBMC is proud to announce that David Morgan, CPA/PFS and LBMC Founder and Managing Partner, is the recipient of the 2014 Tennessee Tech University College of Business Outstanding Business Leadership award. David joins a distinguished group of past winners with some of the most prominent people in business in the state. The Outstanding Business Leadership Award recognizes outstanding contributions in the field of business. It is awarded annually to an individual that has made significant impact by years of hard work and dedication to their profession.

David has a wide range of experience in accounting, auditing, and tax. In addition, he works with family-owned businesses. Services provided to these clients include personal financial planning, estate planning, retirement planning, insurance consulting and investment advisory services. His experience in managing the Firm has also allowed him to gain general business expertise that he shares with companies with which he consults. David has also been named by Accounting Today asone of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting.
David leads by example both professionally and personally giving back to his community in numerous ways. He is on the Board of Directors for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the world’s largest member associations representing the accounting profession with more than 400,000 members in 145 countries. David has also worked diligently supporting the Nashville Symphony that now reaches more than 100,000 adults and children annually through its free education and community engagement programs.
David is a summa cum laude graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a degree in accounting. In addition, he holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
