Joshua Brummett, CPA/ABV/CFF was one of 25 CPAs age 40 and under from around the country honored by the AICPA for their contributions to the areas of forensic and valuation services with the annual Standing Ovation, which recognizes the best young CPAs in various specialty credential areas. Josh was honored at the AICPA's Forensic and Valuation Services (FVS) conference in Nashville.

The Standing Ovation program, which launched last year, recognizes young CPAs who exhibit outstanding professional achievement in specialization areas.  “Josh was honored this year for having demonstrated significant accomplishments in the areas of forensic accounting and business valuation,” said Jeannette Koger, CPA, CGMA, AICPA’s vice president of member specialization and credentialing. The AICPA’s Standing Ovation program was developed to identify those CPAs who are rising stars in the accounting profession, particularly in their area of specialization.”

Josh is a Shareholder with LBMC Healthcare Valuation Services. He joined the firm in 2006. Josh has over twelve years of experience in public accounting and financial advisory services.

Josh has extensive experience in healthcare valuation and serves as the practice leader for Compensation Valuation (CV) for LBMC including valuations for employment, medical director services, call-coverage services, collections guarantees/subsidies, etc.  Josh’s healthcare experience also includes valuations of physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers and various other types of healthcare companies.  In addition to valuation, he has worked with healthcare companies for a variety of purposes including due diligence, litigation support and physician compensation consulting.

“Josh’s recognition by the AICPA through its FVS Standing Ovation Award is well-deserved.  Josh has been able to build his career in the valuation of physician compensation by earning the trust of LBMC’s clients who rely upon Josh to help them navigate the complex regulatory environment in which healthcare companies operate,” said Chris Lovin, LBMC Shareholder, Practice Leader for Valuation and Litigation Support.  “Josh’s passion for not only performing the work and delivering the results to our clients, but also for serving as a trusted advisor to them, is evident every day.  Further, he instills that passion into our younger analysts and is creating opportunities for our next generation.”

Josh graduated from Belmont University in Nashville with a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is active in and continues to support many professional and civic organizations, including Leadership Health Care and the Phoenix Club of Nashville (supporting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle TN).
