LBMC, PC and the LBMC Family of Companies, one of the Southeast’s largest accounting and business consulting firms, proudly announces that Brian McCuller has joined the State and Local Tax Services team as Senior Manager in its Brentwood (Nashville) office.
Brian is an attorney and a CPA with over twenty years of experience in the state and local tax field. Prior to joining LBMC, Brian was a Managing Director in the CBIZ National Tax Office for three years. In this role, Brian provided state and local tax services to CBIZ accounting and tax offices nationwide. Brian was the state and local tax practice leader for twelve years with Thompson Dunavant, PLC, a local CPA firm based in Memphis, TN. Under Brian’s leadership, the state and local tax practice was structured as a multi-discipline practice, offering clients compliance and consulting services in the areas of income/franchise tax, sales/use tax, and property tax. Brian began his career in 1993, and held positions with Arthur Andersen, LLP, and Ernst & Young, LLP in Atlanta, GA and Memphis, TN.

Brian has advised Fortune 500 companies, as well as middle-market companies with multi-state and multi-national operations. Brian specializes in multi-state tax planning and controversy services. Brian has represented clients on a variety of issues before state tax departments across the country. Brian is a frequent speaker and author on the topic of multi-state taxes. The industries Brian typically serves include Manufacturing, Software and Information Technology Services, Online Retailers, Hotel Owners/Operators, and Retail Consumer Services.
Brian is a cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi with his Juris Doctor, and also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with honors.
