As we all navigate these uncharted waters together, I wanted to provide an update on how LBMC is addressing the COVID-19 virus. We are continuing to monitor the situation and follow the guidance of the CDC and state/federal organizations, and we want to reassure you that we are still operational and working for our clients.

While the situation is fluid, we will continue to respond in ways that we believe best protect our LBMC family, our communities and the clients we serve. Our commitment to you is to communicate any updates and/or changes as we have them. Should you have concerns, please know we appreciate your business and welcome your feedback.

LBMC offices will be open but closed to the public, effective March 18, 2020, until at least March 31, 2020. LBMC team members will continue to be fully functional as we institute a firmwide remote workforce plan. This should be seamless to our clients, and we do not anticipate any issues.

Our teams are prepared to continue to serve clients and will monitor the situation closely to determine when we can reopen our offices to the public.  

We plan to institute additional communications to update clients on their unique business needs and plans related to specific services such as our audit, advisory and tax teams.

For now – here is what we know:

  • Our emails and phone numbers remain the same and are working. 
  • Scheduled meetings within LBMC offices will be postponed or cancelled.
  • Should you need to deliver information to LBMC team members for the continuation of their work, we ask that you first consider the ability to do so electronically. Should that option not be available, we ask that you contact your relationship manager or tax representative.
  • Instead of in-person meetings, we encourage the use of video-conferencing technology. LBMC has the ability to leverage a variety of group meeting and web sharing platforms. Let us know your platform of choice, and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

LBMC has cancelled all non-essential travel for team members and will closely evaluate any essential travel on a case by case basis. We believe for the immediate future, most clients have elected to close their offices to the public or go virtual, so we are not anticipating much interruption related to this.

There could be extraordinary circumstances that may require on-site meetings and associated travel, and those will be handled with appropriate procedures and communications on all sides. We will continue regular updates to our team members and to our clients as situations change.
