Background: Angie Hoffman graduated from Nashville State Community College in 1993, with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Accounting. In 2002, Angie began her career with LBMC Employment Partners as a Payroll Specialist and assisted the tax department with the filing and balancing of tax returns. In 2009, she began working full time as a Tax Specialist, and was instrumental in overhauling the tax department. She was promoted to Payroll Tax Manager. In 2014, Angie passed the APA exam for Certified Payroll Professionals and became CPP certified.
Current Role: As the Payroll Tax Manager for LBMC EP, Angie oversees daily tax payments, and the quarterly and annual tax filings for over 400 clients, including those consolidated under the Employment Partner’s PEO. Angie’s other duties include assisting implementation with the tax setup for new clients, assisting LBMC Internal Accounting with client reconciliations and assisting external auditors to maintain SSAE16 compliance.
Why LBMC EP Stands Out: In Angie’s perspective, LBMC EP is the perfect solution for our clients because they are a one-stop shop for benefits, human resources, payroll, and tax services. “We are very proud of what we do and it is our dedication to great customer service and communication that sets us apart from our competitors,” says Angie. It is that level of service that endears Angie to her clients year in and year out.
Unique Factors of Your Work Environment: For Angie, one of the best reasons to work for LBMC EP is the respect everyone has for each other. “Our managers respect us, and have faith in our ability,” says Angie. She values the friendships she has made and is proud to work with such a great team.
Personal: Angie enjoys time spent with her family, friends, and extended family. She is very proud of her daughter who is a general manager of Hardee’s in Murfreesboro. She shares her home in Smyrna with her two Pomeranians: Titan, 13, and Precious, 11. Angie enjoys gardening, cooking, and going to concerts. Just a few of the ones she’s been to are Amos Lee, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Guns & Roses, Buddy Guy, Bob Dylan, and the Rolling Stones — she knows good music! When she’s not out with her friends or at a concert, Angie enjoys cryptograms and relaxing with a good glass of Sutter Home’s Sweet Red wine.
