Employee Spotlight: Sean Lanahan

Lots of great things originate from Detroit, Michigan…Motown, automobiles, and Sean from our Network Engineering department. When Sean was very young, his father took a position with EDS, where his family moved to Music City and made Nashville home. His passion for technology began with building gaming computers with friends in high school. After graduation, Sean attended MTSU, and was heavily involved in ROTC, competing at Fort Jackson, South Carolina on the Army Ranger Challenge Team for two years. Prior to joining the LBMC team, Sean continued his love of technology and taught AppleCare advisors IOS and Mac-troubleshooting for Apple. Sean joined the LBMC Technology Solutions Network Engineering team in 2015. In his free time you can often find him kayaking, camping, travelling and exploring the great outdoors.

What’s your favorite movie?

Interstellar. As a huge space nerd, I thought it was a perfect mix of Hollywood and science.

Where’s your favorite place in the world?

I would have to say, San Diego. Aside from the weather always being perfect. The culture, food, breweries, and the atmosphere, makes it more unique than any city I’ve visited.

What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?

I’m a drummer. I started playing set when I was five years old. I’ve played shows at Exit/Inn, 12th & Porter, Municipal Auditorium, Bunganut Pig, and Limelight.
