Microsoft just made the exciting announcement of its plans for Microsoft Dynamics SL 2016 and 2017 releases.

The Microsoft Dynamics SL 2015 CU2 release, expected to be generally available worldwide in Q4 of the calendar year 2016, shows Microsoft’s continued commitment to web enabling, creating features customers are asking for, plus a focus on new technologies like Power BI.

This release includes new Web Apps and enhancements to existing Web Apps requested by the existing Dynamics SL community.   Web Apps enables users to work when they want, how they want, with the device they want.  Deployment options in the cloud, on-premises or hybrid approaches enable businesses to have control over how they leverage the cloud.

PowerBI is a fast-growing Microsoft solution to help companies uncover knowledge to actually run their business instead of just monitoring it.  The Microsoft Dynamics SL 2015 CU2 release will include the company’s first step in creating solutions in PowerBI, followed by additional items in the following year’s release.

Microsoft Dynamics SL’s next major release is scheduled for 2017.  It will continue to focus on web enablement, customer-requested features in the Web and in the rich client, as well as further connections with PowerBI.
