LBMC is proud to announce the promotion of Drew Hendrickson to Shareholder in the firm’s Information Security division. With more than 12 years of experience as an information security professional and IT assurance expert, Drew has helped clients manage their security programs within the context of the business’ overall risk environment.
“Drew’s promotion to shareholder is well deserved and a tremendous asset to our clients and LBMC,” says Thomas Lewis, Shareholder-in-charge of LBMC’s Information Security division. “Drew’s expertise in assurance services, along with his leadership with the AICPA IT assurance and information security specialty groups, is unmatched in our local marketplace.”

Through his leadership in both the SOC and HITRUST practices, Drew has directly contributed to the firm’s growth, and he has worked directly with the AICPA in the development of training materials for Information Security advisors with a CPA or financial accounting background, including the new SOC for Cybersecurity. Drew has also led the Information Security team in the development of the new AICPA Cybersecurity Advisory Course and is helping businesses understand the impact of SSAE 18 to their organization, not just assessors. Also a leader in the HITRUST practice, Drew is speaking at the annual HITRUST conference and assisting his clients to navigate the “audit once, report many” path.

Drew has spearheaded LBMC Information Security’s involvement on campuses, developing a successful internship program and speaking and coordinating speakers to college classes and clubs all over the southeastern region.

As a proven leader for a variety of other compliance and security initiatives, including SOX and HIPAA security assessments, Drew also assists clients with their PCI, and FISMA compliance needs. Beyond the office, Drew resides in Mt. Juliet, and he and his wife just welcomed a baby girl into the world. We congratulate Drew on this great honor!
