  • Intangible asset valuation including business combinations (ASC 805) and goodwill impairment testing (ASC 350);
  • Family law litigation support (including business valuation, forensic accounting, division of marital estate, etc.);
  • Commercial litigation support (including economic damages, forensic accounting, etc.); and
  • Merger and acquisition work (both buy side and sell side representation).

  • Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA)
  • Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations (CEIV)
  • Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF)
  • Accredited in Business Appraisal Review (ABAR)

Andy’s experience spans a broad range of industries and his clients range from business owners in small, closely held companies to C-suite executives in large pubic corporations. Andy also works with numerous attorneys through consulting engagements, business valuation engagements for gift, estate, and income tax planning and reporting, and litigation support engagements including both family law and commercial litigation matters.

Prior to LBMC, Andy worked as a development associate and investment analyst for a real estate development business.  He brings with him experience in real estate investment analysis, contract negotiations, loan analysis, cash flow modeling and due diligence work.  During his time in real estate development, Andy was responsible for raising over $7M in equity and worked with banks around the southeast to complete over $50M in financing.

Community Involvement

Andy is active in and continues to support many professional and civic organizations, including the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and the National Association of Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). Andy also serves on the board of directors and the executive committee for The Muse Knoxville where he works as the organization’s treasurer. Andy is a graduate of Leadership Knoxville’s Introduction Knoxville Class of Winter 2015.

Outside the Office

A native of Johnson City, Tennessee, Andy spent the first eleven years of his career in Nashville. He returned home to the mountains of East Tennessee in 2014 when his wife, Julia and their daughters, relocated to Knoxville. Andy is an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his time hiking, backpacking, hunting and fishing. As a former collegiate golfer, he also spends a portion of his free time working on his golf game. He enjoys these activities the most in the company of Julia and his girls.
