Christian R. Elsasser specializes in the audits of employee benefit plans. As a Managing Director, he helps guide the employee benefit audit practice at LBMC. Chris demonstrates a proven ability to collaborate with his clients to demystify the audit process and works with his teams to ensure that interactions with clients are proactive and solution-focused.
Chris possesses deep expertise in auditing, accounting, and financial reporting, with over 25 years of diverse business and leadership experiences. His benefit plan clients range from family-owned businesses to nonprofit organizations to multinational Fortune 500 companies. Chris began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers before working to develop Torrillo & Associates into a nationally recognized firm specializing in employee benefit plan audits. Chris joined LBMC when Torrillo & Associates integrated into LBMC in 2026.
Chris received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with distinguished honors from Saint Joseph’s University. He has been a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania since 2001. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Based in the Philadelphia area market, Chris enjoys time at home with his wife and children, supporting the local high school’s music program through volunteering, crossword puzzles and a good cup of coffee.
