He is a nationally recognized authority in complex business tax strategy. Mark originally joined LBMC in 2003, where he served in both the Brentwood and Knoxville offices through 2014. Prior to rejoining LBMC, Mark served as Firm Managing Principal for Tax Services at PYA, where he led a multi-location tax team and oversaw firm-wide technical consulting on mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence. He was instrumental in establishing quality review protocols, mentoring professionals across the firm, and shaping administrative strategies that enhanced both service delivery and internal operations.

At LBMC, Mark specializes in guiding businesses — ranging from closely held pass-through entities to publicly traded corporations — through multi-jurisdictional compliance, strategic tax planning, and tax provision preparation. He is highly regarded for his ability to navigate complex compliance landscapes, manage high-risk issues, and develop future-focused tax strategies that support growth.
