Steven Ezell is a Shareholder in the Tax Services practice of LBMC.
Steven primarily serves clients in the healthcare industry and has significant experience with providers in the fields of behavioral health, long-term care, surgery centers, urgent care, home health and hospice care, and specialty practices including oncology, urology, dermatology/plastic surgery, neurology, and primary care. Steven works with public companies and private equity backed organizations, physician owned practices, and MSOs. He assists clients with federal and state income tax compliance, financial statement reporting under ASC 740, transaction advisory, and other general tax consulting items. In addition, Steven routinely advises clients operating under the corporate practice of medicine regime.
Steven’s prior experience includes 12 years with the Nashville office of EY. During this time, he served as tax engagement leader for financial statement audits and complex corporate tax compliance engagements. He also served as a technical leader and subject matter specialist in a variety of tax technical areas and led the implementation of resulting projects. Outside of public accounting, Steven served as the tax director of a large, private equity-backed behavioral health organization and oversaw all aspects of the tax function.
