David Garmer, CPA, is a Shareholder in the Tax practice based in Knoxville. With more than 18 years of experience, he advises a broad range of clients, including private equity-backed companies, private middle-market businesses, and publicly traded corporations, helping them navigate complex tax matters and achieve their strategic objectives.
David specializes in working with private equity-backed manufacturing and distribution companies, where he provides tailored guidance across the full business lifecycle. He brings extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, tax compliance, and tax provision, as well as strategic consulting services focused on structuring transactions, optimizing tax positions, and supporting growth initiatives.
He holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from East Tennessee State University.
