LBMC, a Forbes 2020 Top Recommended Firm and Top 50 firm in the nation, proudly announces that Drew Hendrickson, CPA, CIPP, CCSFP, has been named to the Nashville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list. Winners were honored during the Nashville Business Journal’s 2020 40 Under 40 Forum and Awards on Aug. 24, held virtually this year.
For the 40 under 40 list, the Nashville Business Journal sought 40 young professionals who are setting themselves apart and positively impacting the business community in 2020.
Hendrickson joined LBMC in 2014 and leads the firm’s Assurance services practice within LBMC Cybersecurity. At 38, he was one of the youngest in the firm’s 30-plus year history to be named a shareholder.
Hendrickson has more than 15 years of experience as an cybersecurity professional and auditor. In addition to helping clients manage their security programs within the context of their overall risk environment, Hendrickson plays an active role in LBMC’s talent program. He launched his division’s successful internship program, regularly contributes to campus recruiting efforts, and serves as a leader and coach for team members as they develop in their careers.
Hendrickson leads national cybersecurity courses offered by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a frequent author and presenter in his field.
Hendrickson was recently named a Nashville Emerging Leaders Award finalist, a program that recognizes Middle Tennessee’s young professionals under the age of 40 for significant accomplishments in their career field as well as their commitment and contribution to the community. Hendrickson serves as a Board Member of Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee, for whom he has volunteered for 15 years, working with more than 500 children. He is also a member of the TSCPA Accounting Career Education Committee, which educates students about the accounting industry and the multiple careers available to them.
